This is a handpulled original handprint. It is a type of traditional printmaking called collagraph. This is an original work of art and not a reproduction. It was created from a plate that is hand inked and put through a printing press where the inked image is transferred from the plate onto watercolor paper. Welcome. I'm so glad you found me here on FAA. I'm a painter and printmaker who lives in New Zealand, I have created vibrant and colourful paintings of musical instruments and the figure but now I focus on abstracts. Thanks everyone for your comments. Collagraph printmaking is a very exciting form of printmaking but I don't think it shows that well in photos so this is why I chose a fairly simple piece to display.
